    How Can You Tell If You Are Buying From A Puppy Mill???

First of all these people usually want to meet you somewhere (Anywhere but their home) or want to ship your puppy to you. For your "convience" they will say. They are just trying to avoid personal  contact! They really don't want you to know who they are. You will also notice that they offer a number of different breeds of dogs for sale! Oh this is one I just came accross. You call their toll free number only to find yourself on hold and a switch board operator is going to connect you to someone that can help you. The person finally gets on the line and they don't really breed the dogs themselves but they personally check out every breeder that they represent. All they check out is the phone number that they are given to make sure someone lives there! They get their puppies from anyone that gives them the lowest price! Then they sell them to you for a premium price! They have the puppy shipped right from the puppy mill to your home and they never even touch or see a puppy. If they say it's a California puppy I believe it should be born here not shipped here. Please don't feed the puppy mills. That's a horrible way for a dog to live!!!

First let's get the big question out of the way. What's a Tweener? Tweener is a term used by breeders to describe a Dachshund that is in between the size of a miniature and a standard. Now let's talk about size. A miniature is a Dachshund that weighs 11 pounds or less. A standard is a Dachshund that weighs 16 pounds and over. A Tweener  weighs over 11 pounds but less then 16 pounds.

                    Long Coat                 OR              Smooth Coat?

For years we have heard this over and over. I want a smooth coat because it will shed less or I have allergies so I need a smooth coat. Folks we are talking about Dachshunds here. Dachshunds have one of the lowest dander levels of all the canine breeds. A smooth coat Dachshund does not shed less then a long coat Dachshund. We have been breeding both coat lenghts for years and there is no difference! Look, you don't have to take our word for it, Just buy one of each and find out for yourself!

All of our prices include full AKC registration. We don't charge you extra for the papers! All of our dogs are healthy and happy. The puppies are raised in our home and are part of our family. We've been breeding Dachshunds since 1997. Over the years we have had many satisfied customers, many return customers and made many good friends.

We require a $50.00 deposit to guarantee that you receive your puppy when it's ready to take home. The deposit can be paid with a personal check or Visa, Master Card, American Express or Discover via PayPal.

A lot happens in the first eight weeks of a puppy's life and most people never get a chance to experience this special time. As soon as we receive your deposit we will e-mail you weekly picture updates so that you can watch your puppy grow and develope. Our customers tell us that this is a lot of fun and helps them and their children prepare for the new puppy's arrival. Unless you see it, it's hard to believe the changes your puppy goes through. Puppies are born blind, deaf and unable to walk. They go from nursing on their momma to eating solid food. All of these changes happen in only eight weeks. Don't miss out!

Deposits on unborn litters give you the right to pick out your puppy before they get posted to our website. Have a chance at your pick of the litter and not just what has been picked through! Don't miss the fun buy your puppy early!!

In the event that we are unable to produce the sex, color or coat length that you have requested we will refund your deposit at the time of the birth of the litter.

When you purchase a puppy from us you come to our farm to pick up your puppy.  We don't sell puppies out of the back of a van or the cargo compartment of an airplane! You will come and meet us in person. That is the only way that we do business because we want to meet the person that will be taking our puppy home!
